5 Lines to Bear in Mind This Valentine
It’s always and forever
There are so many moments in a lifetime, but there’s always a one-forever-memorable moment. Can you truly remember that one moment? That moment when the world seems to be spinning in circles around you, yet it stood still in your heart because you never wanted the moment to be eluded. That moment your heart was racing but had no exit route because you never wanted it to exit in the first place. That moment when butterflies were very much around you to pass on those thousand pecks you wished to implant on succulent cheeks. Can you still remember?
If you do, you must be smiling right now or probably laughing out loud. I still do each time I travel down that beautiful memory lane. That’s enough thought to spark up this Valentine, don’t you think?
Going to the Bahamas was a big deal, but it would have been nothing if it wasn’t with you. The wristwatch on my tabletop seems faded and outdated, but it still holds so much value to me because it was gifted to me by you.
I cherish the passenger seat on the other end of my Toyota vehicle because I always look forward to when you’ll draw open the door to occupy the space I adore. After all, you’re the mass occupying it. The shawarma we stroll down the street to catch a bite of would only be junk if I wasn’t eating them with you.
Here’s a news flash — everything becomes beautiful with just a touch of you. Love is not measured in that material stuff you know, it’s rather measured by the heart through which that material stuff is gotten.
And so, while I reminisce on all things you have turned beautiful with your light touch, I want you to keep your heart busy this Valentine’s bearing this in mind.
You’re Always on My Mind
My thoughts were null and void like the earth’s beginning except for the thoughts of what to eat, a roof to sleep under, and a work to keep scaling through life’s journey until when your love found me. Your arrival made me wish the clock tick could turn anticlockwise because I wished I had met you earlier. A null heart began forming pictures of a future filled with fantasies, saving up memories in a once void space. Now, I no longer think of what to eat, but a dinner table to smile at. Not a roof to shelter me but home to share the love. Not a work to keep me scaling through but a world to live and relish in. You made all of my thoughts beautiful and my mind chapters, memorable. How can I ever take you off my mind?
I’ll Forever Love You
Sometimes, the length and stretch in days seem shortened. Days when you’ll easily hear people nonchalantly say “we have shorter days these days” with an implied expression that the night has become longer too. I truly never knew how true that was until our love came to be because every day has practically become more shortened and the night, a blink of an eye. There’s never enough time to fill in all of the love stored up in my heart just for you. Forever, I sometimes selfishly think, may just not be enough for me to love you.
You’re My Magical Thoughts
The thoughts of you bring smiles to my lips and sometimes I let out a burst of massive laughter, I call it smiles or the laughter of bliss. It brings tears to my eyes, I call it tears of sweetness. It brings hope to my thoughts, I call it hopes of ecstasy. It turns my dreams into relishing adventure, I call it an adventure of paradise. The thoughts of you are just magical, it turns every moment into a Glee of brightness.
You Make Me Whisper Crazily
And that’s what I am really — crazy. Every step, every turn, every thought simply reminds me of how spectacular, tingling, different you are. In my amazement, I just have to confess, I sometimes whisper into the thin air “I love you” — that’s because I know the wind cares about my love for you, and it will carry those words through to your ears. I also know you heard them, or maybe, you felt them. My heart only wishes to let you know that I love you crazily because that’s the best way I can express them.
Life is Enough Just With You
I want some more, that’s Oliver Twist’s saying, and the saying of most of us when there’s still some space, want, or need to be met. But you took me off that lane. I don’t even want more breath if life is not being with you. There’s a contrary confession to this I want to make, that is — you are one thing I want more because, you’re my satisfaction, you’re my contentment, you are my relished filling.
And while we stay safe indoors and I think of the best gift to gift you this Valentine, I can’t think of anything else but to gift you my heart always and forever. You’re my Valentine every day.
